Biography
A
life-long resident of Connecticut, Bill grew up in Torrington.
He graduated from Fairfield University in 1990 and the
University of Connecticut School of Law in 1993. He then worked
for the Connecticut Judicial Branch as a temporary assistant
clerk. He worked directly under judges assisting in civil
trials, jury selection, legal research and other aspects of the
court system. He then spent over 10 years defending personal
injury lawsuits on behalf of insurance companies. During this
time, he tried several cases to verdict and developed an
extensive knowledge of personal injury law.
Since joining Scully,
Nicksa & Reeve in 2007, Bill has exclusively represented injured
parties and victims of negligent conduct. He is also involved in
real estate, zoning, family law and probate matters.
The
lawyers at Scully, Nicksa & Reeve have a long history of public
service and Bill is proud to carry on this tradition. He is a
member of the Farmington Rotary Club and serves as chairman of
the Finance and Stewardship Committee of the First Church of
Christ, Congregational in Unionville. He is a past member of the
Farmington Planning & Zoning Commission and the current chairman
of the Farmington Republican Town Committee.
Recent
Matters
Bill’s litigation background includes
trials involving rear-ends collisions, multi-vehicle accidents
and traumatic injuries. He has also successfully tried cases
involving slip and falls on snow and ice and other hazards. His
other notable verdicts include successfully defending a welding
company accused of starting an industrial fire.
It is also true that
most cases end up settling before trial. Bill’s insurance
defense background and experience is something that many
personal injury lawyers do not possess. Bill has “seen it all”
and knows what works and what doesn’t work when dealing with the
insurance company. Let him put his experience to work for you.
Since joining Scully,
Nicksa & Reeve, Attorney Mastrogiovanni has litigated motor
vehicle accident cases, slip and fall and wrongful death cases.
No matter how small or large the accident and injury, our firm
has the knowledge and resources to represent you in the best
possible manner.
